Description
Demonstrate applied capability in Decision Intelligence through four hand-graded assignments and an assessed capstone project.
The Certified DI Analyst credential is for professionals who want to go beyond course completion and demonstrate that they can apply Decision Intelligence methods to real decisions. This product is an assessed certification add-on for learners who have completed, or are completing, Introduction to Decision Intelligence (IDI) or who took Getting Started with Decision Intelligence without earning a Distinction certificate.
Through a structured program of graded assignments and a final capstone, participants show that they can define outcomes, identify actions and externals, build clear causal chains, and create a well-formed causal decision diagram (CDD) that is usable by stakeholders and suitable as a starting point for machine simulation and/or optimization.
Participants who meet the standard earn the Certified Decision Intelligence Analyst credential.
Why this matters
- Show applied capability, not just attendance
- Earn a permanent, verifiable digital credential
- Strengthen your professional credibility with employers and clients
- Demonstrate your decision modeling skill through a well-formed CDD
- Get expert feedback throughout the process
This credential proves that you can do the work, not just that you watched the course.
Who this is for
This add-on is only for learners who already have access to Introduction to Decision Intelligence (IDI) or who took Getting Started with Decision Intelligence without earning a Distinction certificate. Otherwise please see the combined training and certification program.
This program is especially relevant for:
- analytics, BI, data, and AI professionals
- internal consultants and advisors
- product, strategy, transformation, and operations professionals
- people who support complex organizational decision making
- learners who want a stronger applied credential than course completion alone

Capstone standard
The capstone must demonstrate that you can create a well-formed causal decision diagram that is:
- clear and unambiguous
- based on a real or well-documented decision
- understandable by stakeholders
- structured enough to serve as a starting point for machine simulation
- grounded in appropriate outcomes, actions, intermediates, externals, and causal chains
- follows refinement rules which you’ll learn as part of the course
The goal is not simply to submit a diagram. The goal is to demonstrate applied DI Analyst capability.
What happens if the capstone does not pass?
If your first capstone submission does not meet the standard, you will receive feedback and may submit one revised version.
If the revised capstone still does not meet the standard, the Certified DI Analyst credential will not be issued. You may later purchase an additional review or coaching option if available.
Program start
The program will start within two days of your purchase.
