Capstone standard
The capstone must demonstrate that you can create a well-formed causal decision diagram that is:
- clear and unambiguous
- clearly understood by you
- based on a real or well-documented decision
- understandable by stakeholders
- structured enough to serve as a starting point for machine simulation
- grounded in appropriate outcomes, actions, intermediates, externals, and causal chains
- follows refinement rules which you’ll learn as part of the course
The goal is not simply to submit a diagram. The goal is to demonstrate applied DI Analyst capability.
What happens if the capstone does not pass?
If your first capstone submission does not meet the standard, you will receive feedback and may submit one revised version.
If the revised capstone still does not meet the standard, the Certified DI Analyst credential will not be issued. You may later purchase a certification retake program.
